Maltofer Tablets contain 100 mg elemental iron per tablet. Maltofer Tablets are used for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency in both adolescents and adults where the use of ferrous iron supplements is not tolerated or cannot be used. Maltofer Tablets are clinically proven to treat iron deficiency.  Maltofer has less constipation and fewer gastrointestinal side effects compared to ferrous sulfate iron.

• Always take Maltofer Tablets exactly as your medical practitioner or pharmacist has instructed. You should check with your medical practitioner or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• For treatment of iron deficiency in adults and adolescents (12 years and older), take 1-2 tablets (100-200mg iron) daily, preferably with food.
• For prevention of iron deficiency in high-risk adults and adolescents (12 years and older), take 1 tablet (100mg iron) daily, preferably with food.
• Higher doses may be taken as directed by your medical practitioner.
• Maltofer Tablets should be swallowed whole with a drink of water. Take Maltofer Tablets during or immediately after a meal.
