Double Wood Supplement Potassium Iodide

Potassium Iodide is a salt made up of the minerals iodine and potassium. Because Potassium Iodide contains nonradioactive iodine it is often used during emergencies resulting in radiation exposure to block radioactive iodine from entering the thyroid gland. The contamination of the thyroid gland with radioactive iodine is a major cause of damage from radiation exposure. For short term use only, do not take for longer than 2 weeks unless directly by your physician, state, or local health officials.
